Salam Alaik.
I'm here again, still breathing fresh air, Alhamdulillah. It has been a long time since I last posted here sometime in 2013. Two years passed and a lot of things have changed. I left my blog untouched as t further concentrate on my studies. I'm seated for the big hurdle in my life, SPM, Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia late in 2013.
Taking 11 subjects, I have to admit that the ordeal is not that easy. Classes in the morning, extra classes in the evening, night and even weekends. At home I am obliged to finish my homework as well. Sports and other co-curicullar activities must be slowed down, for example, passing my post as a chairman of Red Crescent Society to my junior in June 2013. I must say that 2013 is one of the critical years of my life. I must set the direction of my life after SPM. By then, I am confused whether to major in Law or in Engineering after SPM.
11 subjects in Sains Agama stream is a big deal. Here they are:
- Bahasa Melayu
- Bahasa Inggeris
- Bahasa Arab
- Sejarah
- Pend. Syariah Islamiah
- Pend. Al-Quran dan As-Sunnah
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Mathematics
- Additional Mathematics
The time is running out. SPM starts on 6th Nov 2013. I have got quite marginal results for the SPM Trial, which is worrying. But ALhamdulillah, things went on well for the Final SPM exam. I finished my last paper, Bahasa Arab on 3 December 2013. Goodbye my school days. Will be missing moments in school.
Then as I waited for SPM results and to further my SPM Studies, I took my oppurtunity to get my driving licence, for light motorbike, B2 and car, D. Then later in January, I was hired at Aeon Big Alamanda as a part-time cashier. I finally got my probationary licence on 14th February 2014. Nearly four months of working experience teaches me a lot of things, especially on handling other people.
One of the interesting experience in my job is facing many types of people. There are customer who gets angry with me for doing a slight mistake, for example, tagging wrong stuff and causing the customers to wait or request a refund. There are also customers who don't understand Bahasa nor English, so it is very hard to communicate especially when they had problems. Some of them are also nagging me without any valid reason as well. But yeah, I can say that the negative customers is only 1%, why bother when most of your customers are okay with you. Some even still knows me till now, the aunty at Menara Optometry Alamanda, where I purchased my glasses.
Besides that, handling my superiors and colleagues is also a concern, most of them are good ones, but sometimes, some of them are problematic as well, one simple mistake, scolds like no tomorrow, there are also people calling me bad names as well, but yeah, actually, many of them are good at heart. But anyway, it is a learning process that makes us grow to be a better person. I've gathered nearly four months of working experience from late January 2014 till early June 2014, made friends from a lot of backgrounds as well, from school dropouts, former clerks and labourers, to diploma and degree holders, working as cashiers, part and full time.
After 3 months of waiting, SPM results are out. Alhamdulillah I got good results just slightly exceeding my target. I wished for a long time, to further my studies in International Islamic University of Malaysia aka IIUM or UIAM through foundation programme. I have decided to further my studies in the Engineering field. I applied for a place to further my studies under UPU. I put foundation programme in CFS IIUM as my top three choices. I also applied for matriculation.
My first choice in foundation level is Engineering, second is Laws, the third one is BEN (Bachelors of English Language and Literature). The other choices are foundations and diplomas related to engineering from PALAM UITM, UTM and also UITM. Matriculation and UPU results are out later on May..
That's all for today. Stay tuned for the continuation on my story.
Thanks, salam alaykum.
TO BE CONTINUED..
